The origins of the song are based in a lost and resumed friendship between Bruce Springsteen and Wrestler lead actor Mickey Rourke; Rourke told Springsteen about his comeback film and asked if Springsteen could write a song for it. Springsteen subsequently did, played it for Rourke and director Darren Aronofsky before a concert. When they liked it, Springsteen gave them the song for no fee.
Springsteen, alltså. Han verkar så himla fin. Generös. Jag vet inte om jag har drömt det här, eller kokat ihop på egen hand i mitt huvud, men jag har för mig att han någon gång gav en gratiskonsert i sin hemstad. Eller något liknande. Poängen är i alla fall kombinationen av Bruce och att ge gratiskonsert. Det är fint. Jag tycker att fler artister som har alldeles för mycket pengar för sitt eget bästa borde ge gratiskonserter.
